The Thursday Night NFL Network Cleveland/Baltimore game was simulcast on the NBC affiliates in both markets. As a result the numbers for NBC are probably inflated and subject to more than typical adjustments in the final numbers.

RATINGS SUMMARY
- CBS do what they do best last night - they win. A dominant performance in demo and total people
- The Big Bang Theory was a clear winner for the night and outstanding anchor for the CBS schedule and up 9% in demo from last season's one hour premiere
- Two and a Half Men was solid but dropped three million of its TBBT lead in before Person of Interest picked most of them back up
- Elementary retained 96% of the Person of Interest lead in and was 5% up on the performance of The Mentalist in the same slot last year
- X Factor and Glee combined for a 33% decline from the same night last year which was a two hour X Factor. Glee did much better in the Tuesday slot last year
- In a tough slot, ABC's Last Resort did reasonably well and worth noting it picked up 6% in the second half hour
- Grey's Anatomy started season nine well - 12% up on the season 8 opener but fellow Shonda Rhimes show Scandal dropped a lot of the GA lead in
- NBC had a bad night - 33% down on last year
- I went to the live record of the CW's The Next last night and there were almost more people in the crowd than people watching on TV. 683,000 viewers......it is such a horrible show and a very poor imitation of Idol/X Factor/The Voice etc. The whole thing looked cheap and nasty and I would have left after 5 minutes if I could have. That was an hour I will never get back.... The only highlight was a country singer that had true star appeal - fantastic voice, looks and personality.
- Interesting to see Grey's Anatomy beat The X Factor in social TV ratings. Glee was third and Elementary was ninth - full list is available at www.2026.tv/ratings
