Note: CBS had preemptions/delays due to ACC and SEC basketball from 8:00-9:00PM. Expect adjustments in the finals.

RATINGS SUMMARY
- Idol helped Fox to win the night in demo but by the slimmest of margins and CBS took the night in total people
- Idol was down three tenths of a point from last week and was the number three show for the night in demo and number two show in total people
- A see saw night for CBS with Survivor up a tenth of a point, Criminal Minds down three tenths of a point and CSI up three tenths of a point
- ABC were well back in third place last night and no surprise why with The Middle on par with last week and then declines across the board after that:
- Suburgatory hit a series low and was down three tenths of a point
- Modern Family was down a tenth of a point (and was a boring episode)
- Mixology hit a series low and was down two tenths of a point - expect it to keep on sliding
- Nashville closed out the night down a tenth of a point
- Speculation is still running wild with likely successors for Anne Sweeney as head of Television at ABC. While a lot of internal names are being thrown around, my money is on Nancy Dubuc who runs A+E but in addition to Hearst likely being opposed to it (A+E is a JV between Disney and Hearst), many would not want to take her away from a role she is doing so well in and making a TON of money for them
- NBC had no exciting news with Revolution and Law & Order SVU both on par with last week while Chicago PD was very marginally up
OTHER NEWS
- The Aereo case continues to get more and more interesting. The Federal Government today announced they would like to argue against Aereo directly to the Supreme Court - can't get a lot more serious than that....
- I got back from SXSW in Austin today (unfortunately drove past that big accident on our way home last night). A few of the highlights from the Interactive part of SXSW were:
- Edward Snowden’s ACLU discussion was probably the most talked-about appearance. Watch the full conversation HERE.
- Neil Young launched the crowd-funding campaign for his new digital music player Pono, and promptly raised $1 million in one day.
- Wearable technology continues to get a lot of hype. Epiphany Eyewear rolled out their HD camera-embedded glasses, which were pretty impressive and surprisingly affordable.
- Skully Helmets have a pretty incredible motorcycle helmet with a fully interactive, voice-operated display. Very cool.
- Oreos was 3D printing customized Oreo flavors, but the flavors were based on trending Twitter topics. A bit odd...
- I managed to test Oscar Meyers’ much-hyped “Wake Up And Smell The Bacon” iPhone alarm. If you like the smell of fake chemical bacon in the morning, or a good puke, this is for you.
- CBS are the most consistent network in the country and below is an article on their current renewals. The Mentallist still hasn't had the call and Intelligence is still waiting too.....
