RATINGS REPORT
- NBC managed to take the night in total viewership and demo, despite the HIMYM finale AND The Voice tying its season low with a 3.4, down 8% from last week’s 3.7. The Blacklist was even with last week’s 2.8.
- On CBS he hour-long series finale of How I Met Your Mother was up a huge 51% from last week’s 3.5 to a 5.3, a high for the series. The internet has reacted with furor over the episode - see this hysterical takedown from Jezebel.com (SPOILER ALERT!!!!!)
- As for the rest of the night on CBS, the premier of Friends with Better Lives hit a very solid 2.7, up substantially from both the Mom premier (2.5) and the We Are Men premier (2.0). Mom was up three tenths from last week to a 2.2 and Intelligence was up a tenth to 1.2.
- Dancing with the Stars on ABC was down to a season low 2.3.
- For Fox Bones ticked up a tenth from last week to a 1.5, and The Following matched its series low from last week - 1.4.
- For the CW Star-Crossed was up a tenth to a 0.4, and The Tomorrow People was up two tenths from last week’s series low 0.3 (67%!!!!) to a 0.5.
OTHER NEWS
- As expected, Esquire has announced the second season of Friday Night Tykes, a show I’ve been talking about for a while now.
- Big score for Amazon as they’ve landed the streaming rights to Fox’s 24: Live Another Day summer event series. It is part of a licensing agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution that covers all 192 episodes of 24. The eight seasons of 24 and TV movie 24:Redemption, which bridged Seasons 6 and 7, are already available on Prime Instant Video. The Amazon deal coincides with the expiration of Fox’s with Netflix, which was the streaming home of the series until today.
- NBC has ordered a drama series from ITV and Marty Adelson Prods about a cop tracking Charles Manson. David Duchovny is set to star.
