RATINGS REPORT

  • CBS won the night in total viewers, and tied with ABC for tops in demo.
  • On CBS The Big Bang Theory was down 7% from last week’s 4.9 to a 4.6 this week, a season low. The Millers was down two tenths from last week to a 2.6, and Two and a Half Men was down a tenth to a 2.5. The Crazy Ones was even with last week’s series low of 1.7, and Elementary was up two tenths form last week to a 1.7.
  • ABC’s special Thursday episode of Shark Tank hit a 1.6, way up from the 0.9 that Once Upon a Time in Wonderland was it in that slot last week (although lower than last Friday’s Shark Tank by 20%). Grey’s Anatomy was down two tenths from last week to a 2.5, and Scandal ticked up a tenth to 3.0.
  • Things continue to go downhill for Fox, and it’s not just Idol (although it IS Idol too…). Hell’s Kitchen was down 23% from last week’s 1.8 to a 1.4. Idol was even with last week’s series low 1.7, and Surviving Jack was also even with last week at 1.2.
  • On NBC Community was down a tenth from last week to a new series low 0.8. Parks and Recreation was down a tenth from last week to 1.0, and Parenthood was also down a tenth to a series low 1.1.
  • On The CW Reign was down two tenths from its last new episode to a new series low 0.4.

OTHER NEWS

  • Sounds pretty certain that CBS will keep production of The Late Show in New York when Colbert takes over in 2015.
  • Of course the crazy wing of the US media has chimed in on the Colbert Late Show takeover, with Rush Limbaugh declaring the hire an “assault on American values.”
  • Spike has renewed Auction Hunters for a 20 episode 5th season. The storage/auction trend is winding its way down, but obviously not quite dead yet…
