RATINGS REPORT

  • On a night when all eyes were on HBO with the season premiere of Game of Thrones, CBS was the top broadcast network in both demo and total viewership
  • 60 Minutes on CBS was down 52% from last weeks broadcast (which had the big NCAA Basketball lead-in) to a 1.3. The Academy of Country Music Awards was down a full point from last year’s broadcast to a 3.3.
  • America’s Funniest Home Videos on ABC was even with last week’s 1.3. Once Upon a Time ticked up a tenth from last week to a 2.2. Resurrection was down from last week’s 2.4 to a 2.1, and Revenge was down a tenth from last week to a 1.3.
  • For Fox Bob’s Burgers was down 10% from last week to a 0.9. American Dad was down 14% to a 1.2; The Simpsons was even with last week’s 1.9, and Family Guy was up 9% from last week’s 2.1 to a 2.3. This week’s installment of Cosmos was even with last week’s 1.5.
  • On NBC the special Ann Curry Reports hit a 0.6, as did American Dream Builders - down two tenths from last week’s 0.8. Believe and Crisis were both down a tenth from last week's to a 1.1s to 1.0s this week.

OTHER NEWS

  • Last night was the season premiere of Game of Thrones on HBO. The numbers will no doubt be huge, but the HBO Go online streaming app suffered a huge crash during the premier, just as it did with the highly-anticipated season finale of True Detective.
  • Fox has given a US series order to the new Keshet format Boom! which debuted last week in Israel to massive numbers.
  • Barbara Walters has announced May 16th as her final appearance on The View, as she retires from TV journalism.
