RATINGS REPORT

  • Unsurprisingly CBS took the night in viewers and demo with the NCAA Basketball finals. Despite the win, the 6.0 the game pulled was down a sharp 20% from last year’s game’s 7.5 to a 6.0 this year. These are preliminary ratings subject to change, but nonetheless a big dip.
  • The Voice on NBC matched let week's season low of 3.4, while American Dream Builders was up a strong 128% from Sunday’s 0.7 episode.
  • On ABC Dancing with the Stars was down three tenths from last week to hit a season low 2.1.
  • Bones on Fox ticked up a tenth from last week to a 1.6, and The Following was even with last week’s series low 1.4.
  • On the CW Star-Crossed was down a tenth from last week to a 0.4.

OTHER NEWS

  • The numbers are in for the Game of Thrones season premiere on Sunday on HBO, and they are indeed huge. It was the biggest show on HBO since the finale of the Sopranos in 2007, drawing 6.6 million people in its first airing, with that number jumping to 8.2 million when including the subsequent replays.
  • More surprisingly, AMC’s Revolutionary War drama Turn pulled 2.1 million viewers on Sunday - 3 million with the repeat airing. Impressive numbers.
  • At MIPTV Fremantle have signed an exclusive multi-year co-development deal with Dick De Rijk, the creator of “Deal or No Deal.”
