RATINGS REPORT

  • NBC was tops for the night in demo, but CBS won with total viewership.
  • For NBC The Voice was down to a season low 2.8 from last week’s 3.1. About a Boy was hit a series low 1.8, down 10% as well from last week’s 2.0. Growing Up Fisher also hit a series low, down a tenth from last week to a 1.5, and Chicago Fire returned from hiatus and was even with its last original episode - 1.9.
  • On CBS NCIS was up two tenths to a 2.6 from last week, and NCIS: Los Angeles was down a tenth from last week to a 2.4.
  • Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on ABC was down to a series low 1.9, down 5% from last week’s 2.0. The Goldbergs tied a series low with 1.4, also down a tenth from last week, and Trophy Wife was down 20% from last week to a 1.0, even with its series low.
  • For Fox Glee was up a tenth to a 1.0, and The Mindy Project hit a 1.0 and a 1.1 in back-to-back episodes, even and up a tenth respectively from last week’s 1.0s (also back-to-back).

OTHER NEWS

  • On the heels of the huge premiere on Sunday, HBO has picked up Game of Thrones for two more seasons (Five & Six).
  • Teri Weinberg (former Reveille and NBC EP) has been developing a limited run (8 hours) project on the Beatles which originally was at Showtime but is now with NBC (studio and network). The deal is being done at the moment.
  • The mayors of New York and Los Angeles are in a back and forth battle trying to woo Les Moonves for production of the new Late Show once Letter man leaves next year. Will be interesting to see where they wind up.
  • The Senate Judiciary Committee have begun reviewing the Time Warner / Comcast merger, and have expressed skepticism about the deal...
