Ratings Report:
- THE VOICE on NBC topped a sluggish Monday night, but fell to a new all-time low. Pending final adjustments, the singing competition series earned a 1.4 among 18-49s, down three tenths from last week. MANIFEST, however, has proven that it can stand on its own, maintaining the same 1.1 it scored last week.
- ABC won the broadcast race overall, although ratings for both the finale of DANCING WITH THE STARS (1.3) and THE GOOD DOCTOR (1.2) are most likely inflated due to local NFL pre-emptions, and will adjust down later in the day.
- THE RESIDENT on Fox returned from a week off and promptly fell a tenth to 0.9, breaking a 6-episode 1.0 streak. Ryan Murphy’s 911 maintained a 1.2 once again.
- CBS had a steady to up night: THE NEIGHBORHOOD (1.1) and MAGNUM PI (0.8) matched numbers from last Monday, while HAPPY TOGETHER grew a tenth to 0.9.
- On The CW, ARROW dropped another tenth, down to a season low 0.3, while LEGENDS OF TOMORROW maintained its own 0.3 rating.

Of Note:
- THE WALKING DEAD continued to top cable ratings on Monday, but fell below a 2.0 for the first time ever, sinking two tenths from last week to a 1.8 among adults 18-49. Weirdly, TALKING DEAD grew a tenth from 0.7 to 0.8 this week, good enough for number two. A Hallmark Christmas movie CHRISTMAS IN EVERGREEN rounded out the top three at 0.7.
- 90 DAY FIANCE on TLC continues to perform, even this week with another 0.6, while BBC America’s DOCTOR WHO ticked up a tenth to 0.3. REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA held steady with a 0.7 on Bravo, and HBO’s LAST WEEK TONIGHT dropped out of the top 25 this week, despite maintaining a 0.2.

- CBS no longer believes in SALVATION, canceling the summer thriller series after two seasons. The drama, which performed decently in the summer of 2017, fell off a cliff this past summer, never rising much above a 0.4.
- BUSINESS BRIEFS:
- Interesting (and brief) article in Variety regarding Channing Dungey stepping down as president of ABC – it frames Dungey’s two-year tenure as network president as illustrative of all broadcast network woes: the media ground has shifted dramatically under everyone’s feet, leaving broadcast networks lumbering after streaming in a race to keep viewers. Dungey is the penultimate top broadcast exec to walk away this year, (Bob Greenblatt/NBC, Gary Newman/Fox, and Leslie Moonves/CBS left for health, negotiation breakdowns, and sexual misconduct, respectively). - Amazon continues to round up talent for first-look deals; their latest is with comediennes Maya Rudolph (Idiocracy, SNL), and Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the New Black) under their new Animal Pictures production shingle. The deal, which runs through November 2020, will have the duo creating original series for the streamer. While Rudolph has a previous relationship with Amazon (producing and co-starring in Prime series FOREVER), Lyonne is something of a poach – the actress has been a series regular on Netflix series OITNB since season one, but has been on the market since Netflix announced that season 7 of the show will be its last.
