RATINGS REPORT

  • NBC topped the night in demo and total viewers with NFL football, although between football and the World Series these numbers are highly subject to adjustment.
  • The NFL on NBC was down 9% from last week’s 7.0 to a preliminary 6.4 this week.
  • The World Series on Fox (Game 5) had a preliminary 3.0, 30% up from the preliminary 2.3 for Game 4.
  • Once Upon a Time on ABC was down 15% from last week to a 2.3, a season low. Resurrection hit a series low 1.2, 14% off of last week’s 1.4, and Revenge also hit a series low with a 1.1, down 15% from last week’s 1.3.
  • The last hour of CBS’ NFL coverage had a preliminary 5.8. 60 Minutes doubled last week’s 1.2 for a 2.4 this week - will be very interested to see the response to their ebola story and their interviews with the Texas hospital staff. Madame Secretary was even with last week’s 1.5, and The Good wife was also even with last week at 1.4.

CABLE RATINGS

Thursday, October 23

  • Thursday Night Football on the NFL Network was the top show on cable with a 1.4 and 3.4 million viewers. That number will jump MASSIVELY this week as the CBS simulcast ends and NFL Network will be the only place to see the game. The post-game show had a 0.6 and 1.4 million viewers.
  • Project Runway on Lifetime had a 0.8 with 2.6 million viewers.
  • Pawn Stars on History had a 0.7 and 2.7 million viewers at 9:30pm, and at 9pm a 0.5 with 2.2 million viewers.
  • On MTV Ridiculousness had a 0.6 and 1.1 million viewers.
  • Black Jesus on Adult Swim pulled a 0.6 and 1.3 million viewers.

OTHER NEWS

  • ABC has cancelled Manhattan Love Story - it will be replaced by a second episode of Selfie.
  • Constantine debuted on Friday on NBC with a decent 1.4 - not mind-blowing, but certainly respectable for 10pm Friday up against game 3 of the World Series.
  • SNL did well with Jim Carrey as host on Saturday, up 22% in demo with a 2.2.
  • Taylor Swift will headline Ryan Seacrest’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on ABC.
